70 -- MAINTENANCE OF RACAL-DATACOM TELECOMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT SOL RFP-FMS-95-0013 POC Thomas Draughn, Contract Specialist, (202) 874-6746. The Financial Management Service (FMS) intends to award a sole source contract to Racal-Datacom, 2000 M Street, NW, Washington, DC for the maintenance of Racal RDM3264 modems (QTY 293) and Racal RDM1690 modem chassis (QTY 24) from October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996, with no option years available. The modems and chassis to be maintained are spread out at seven locations throughout the continental United States. The locations are as follows: Hyattsville, MD; Austin, TX; Birmingham, AL; Chicago, IL; Kansas City, KS; Philadelphia, PA; and San Francisco, CA. Remedial and preventative maintenance will be on-site, so any interested vendors must be able to service the equipment at the above locations, within a few hours of a service call request and equipment must be operational within one business day; this includes time to obtain spare parts. Vendors must maintain an adequate spare parts inventory in the vicinity of each of the seven FMS locations. Interested vendors must be able to provide hardware, software and firmware upgrades to the equipment as they become available by Racal-Datacom and keep the equipment up-to-date and certified to be maintained and operating according to the original equipment manufacturer's specifications. Interested vendors must have a minimum of 2 years experience servicing the above make and model equipment. Vendors must provide an ''800'' number for technicalassistance, as well as for quick presentation and resolution of problems and/or questions. All responsible sources shall respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirement, within 15 calendar days of this notice, to the above address and POC.
