DUE 112095 POC Tel 81/878/23-2111 S1611 Construction of expressway opening time and date 11:20, mar. 25, 1995 open 1) Construction Title Construction of the tokushima expressway mino West Section; 2) Construction site from oaza-tateno, mino-Cho to oaza-shibao, mino-Cho, miyoshi- gun, tokushima-Ken; 3) work summary to construct a Highway (tentatively two-lane) of 2,256 meters in length (earth work volume approx. 690,000 cubic meters), including substructure work for a bridge (at five sites, 182 meters in length); total length 2,256 meters; width Highway portion 10.50 meters X 1, bridge portion 10 50 (9.00) meters X 1; earth work volume 694,000 cubic meters; bridge substructure and superstructure work at one site 55 meters, substructure work only at 4 sites 127 meters, 8 abutments, 3 piers of bent; foundation work concrete compaction piles (1 2 meters in diameter, 516 meters in length), caisson-type piles (2 5 meters in diameter, 237 meters in length); and cross structure culvert boxes at four sites, culvert arches at two sites, culvert piles at three sites; 4) Construction period 1,050 days; 5) main materials to be used approx. 15,500 cubic meters of concrete, approx 100 tons of reinforcing steel, approx 1,500 meters of guard rail; 6) deadline for submission of application forms/related documents for the qualification screening 16:00, feb. 17, 1995; 7) Procurement and right-of-way Department, Takamatsu Construction Bureau, Japan Highway Public Corporation, 4- 1-3 Asahi-Cho, Takamatsu 760 eligible Tender participants firms qualified to participate in this Project's bidding must satisfy all of the following conditions and have their qualifications for this Project's bidding screened and confirmed by the Director of the Takamatsu Construction Bureau 1) firms that do not fall under article 4 of the Contract regulations of Japan Highway Public Corporation; 2) firms pre-qualified for open competitive tendering on Road and earth work by the Takamatsu Construction Bureau of Japan Highway Public Corporation for fy 93/94, and consortia comprised of two qualified firms; 3) firms that have -- in the past five years (since 1989) as the main contractor -- actually carried out Construction of a Highway of at least 1 0 kilometer in length and at least 200,000 cubic meters of cut-and-fill earth volume note: only Construction Projects in which bidder has had a 30 percent or greater share are eligible for consideration, and in the case of a consortium, all member firms must have a similar experience; 4) firms that can assign to the Construction site a field representative or a full- time Chief Engineer or engineering supervisor who meets the following criteria has had experience of having constructed a Highway of at least 1 0 kilometer in length as field representative or as Chief Engineer or engineering supervisor in the past five years (since 1989); 5) firms not suspended from designation in no 7 zone by Japan Highway Public Corporation; 6) in the case of a consortium, each member firm must satisfy the following criteria a) has been in operation for at least five years in qualified business under the Construction business law; B) can assign to the Construction site a full-time engineering supervisor qualified for this Project under the Construction business law or a full-time nationally-licensed Chief Engineer; and C) has an at least 30 percent share of involvement, and the representative firm must have the greatest share firms pre-qualified by the Construction minister regarding items (a) and (B) in evaluation of their Management operations are exempted from these criteria; and 7) firms not related by capital or personnel to the contractors involved in this Project (see Tender documents for details).B ID documents must be obtained directly from the submitting Agency, not from U S.
