J -- MAINTENANCE OF THE VG 70-VSEQ MASS SPECTROMETER AND THE FISONS ISOTOPE RATIO MASS SPECTROMETER SOL RFP C500214T1 POC Contact Point, Jenet Moon, (513)366-2055, Contracting Officer, Ruby Sugg, (513)366-2146 The EPA-Environmental Research Laboratory (ERL) in Athens, GA requires a maintenance service contract to provide preventative and remedial maintenance for a VG 70-VSEQ Mass Spectrometer System and a Fisons Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer System. The VG 70-VSEQ Mass Spectrometer System includes a Hewlett-Packard 5890A gas chromatograph, a thermospray LC/MS interface, and a pumping system (oil diffusion pump, turbomolecular pumps, and rotary pumps). The Fisons Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer System consists of a Fisons Optima IRMS with the H/D collector option and a dual micro inlet system with the capability of measuring small CO2 and N2 samples; a Fisons MD 800 Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer; a Fisons Isochron GC/IRMS interface for use with the Optima (which includes a Hewlett-Packard 5890 Series II Gas Chromatograph); and a Fisons NA 1500 NC elemental analyzer with interface for use with the Optima. This service contract shall provide prompt on-site service, software updates, and unlimited telephone technical support for the covered equipment including maximum 120-hour response time, remedial service for the interfaces, and all parts required for repair of the mass spectrometers and interfaces, except parts that are considered to be consumable items. The proposed acquisition shall include the following: (a) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and (b) Base period of performance of 12 months with 2 12-month options to extend the term.
