The Government contemplates awarding a cost reimbursable, completion form contract with a base period of performance of 3 years and options to extend the period of performance for a total of 7 years. The Request for Proposal is anticipated to be released on 3/3/95. The con- tractor will be required to provide proficient interpretation, transla- tion, logistics and language training in support of the Shuttle/MIR and ISSA programs. Russian to English and English to Russian interpretation and translation services are contemplated for the following disciplines: Aerospace Engineering and Space Technology; Sciences; and Space Hardware Manufacturing. The Government anticipates release of a draft Statement of Work on 2/17/95 at the preproposal conference where prospective offer- ors will be permitted to question a panel of NASA experts on the current operations. The preproposal conference will be videotaped and the tape will be made available in the library after the conference.
