Eglin AFB, FL has a requirement that consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment to perform all operations in connection with improvements and repairs to approximately 63 Capehart Military Family Housing Units, Phase VII. Bid opening date of 25 Apr 95 is only an estimated date. In general, the work shall consist of, but not limited to: Removal of certain existing walls, doors, windows, ceilings, wall and floor finishes, and other miscellaneous items; building additions to all units, including: concrete masonry exterior walls, wood frame interior partitions, wood frame roof construction, built-up roofing with marble chip surfacing; alterations to certain areas of existing buildings including construction of concrete patios, stoops and walks, enlarging window openings in dining room walls and installing sliding glass doors, patching of floors, walls and ceilings where alterations occur, reroofing of existing roof areas, replacing of existing doors, frames, trim and hardware, replacing existing ceramic floor and wall tile in baths, replacing damaged plaster, installation of carpet in certain areas, installation of bathroom accessories in new baths and replacing of bathroom medicine cabinets shower curtain rods and certain bathroom accessories in certain existing baths, installation of vinyl-coated wall covering on all walls in kitchens; installation of Government-furnished dishwashers and garbage disposals in certain units and reinstallation of existing dishwashers and garbage disposals in other units, installation of plumbing systems for new baths, including fixtures, and piping and connection to water and sewer lines, removal of existing electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures and installation of new wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures and range exhaust hoods, installation of electrical systems for new additions, including lighting fixtures, wiring, outlets, switches and radiant heaters, planting of trees and shrubs for housing units indicated on the drawings.
