Basile, Contracting Officer Modify Gerlinger straddle trucks (2 EA) from 116 inches to 151 inches per Gerlinger Drawing No. SE-10428, provide attachments to the shoe assemblies to permit handling of 54 inch pallets per Gerlinger Drawing No. 556356, and install 18 inch deck around filler spout of fuel tank access. Negotiations with Gerlinger Carrier Company are intended. Justification for other than full and open competition is that the cited parts must be compatible with the existing components in the straddle truck and that a warranty on Gerlinger straddle truck parts and service shall be provided. Place of performance is Pearl Harbor, HI, period of performance 120 days after date of contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals showing technical capability to comply with the specifications which are received within 45 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the agency.
