Correction: This action was originally publicized in the CBD dated 13
December 1994. This is an announcement that the USA CECOM will issuing
a firm fixed price/time and material full and open competitive
soliciation for a Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) quantitiy of
Ground Based Sensor (GBS) Mark XII Interrogator Sets. The Interrogator
Sets are being procured for the FAAD Sensor Product Management Office
(PMO) for installation on the FADD GBS Radar. The GBS Mark XII
Interrogator Set will increase effectiveness and survivability of Air
Defense Units by interrogating and identifying friendly aircraft from
their transponder responses and will provide early identification of
friendly aircraft to the GBS radar. The contract will contain a
requirement for a LRIP quantity of the GBS Mark XII Interrogator Set
systems to include acceptance testing and Contractor Services in
support of the equipment, all essential Data Items, and hardware and
logistics options. Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) is required to
provide maintenance and supply support of all delivered GBS Mark XII
Interrogator Set systems on a Time and Material (T&M) basis. A total of
twenty-six (26) GBS Mark XII interrogator Sets shall be produced,
tested and delivered during the basic incrementally funded contract.
The contract will also contain options, to be exercised at the
discretion of the government, for additional hardware and logistics
support. The hardware options shall consist of three (3) separate
options for forty-two (42) additional GBS Interrogator Sets (fourteen
(14) per option). These options will also require CLS for support of
the hardware. The CLS T&M effort shall conclude forty-eight (48) months
following the last hardware delivery, or at the conclusion of the fifth
year of the contract, whichever occurs first. All other information
publicized in the original Synopsis is correct. No telephone request
