The Synopsis for DAAB07-95-R-M251 that appeared in the 11/7/94 CBD issue is hereby amended. The acquisition strategy is changed from full and open competition. A noncompetitive negotiation is proposed with Litton Guidance & Control Systems (G&CS), formerly Teledyne Electronics systems, Newbury Park, CA. The Government requirement is to acquire the AN/PPX-3B Interrogator in its current configuration, which contains microcircuits that are obsolete and not available in the commercial market. Litton G&CS is not impacted since they bought out the components they knew were becoming obsolete and have them on hand. The option to provide for 100 percent increase quantity will NOT be included. Delivery will be 25 ea. 420 day after contract (DAC), 30 ea. 450 DAC, 50 ea. each month thereafter until completion.
