Agency (USIA) intends to negotiate a non-competitive follow-on
contract with New Media Group of Silver Spring, MD to provide Phase II
production and training services of a customized interactive
multimedia CD-ROM. The CD-ROM shall include these topics: a
step-by-step approach to U.S. study; an overview of American higher
education; a section on day-in-day life issues; misconceptions and
myths; a simulation of a typical college including a campus map and a
day-in-the-life of a foreign student; and a condensed version of a U.S.
atlas. The disc shall be designed for playback pn PCs meeting the
current industry multimedia standard: MPC II. The project shall be
programmed using the Agency;s Macintosh computers and Macromedia
Director 4.0. Additional graphic software shall include: Adobe
PhotoShop 3.0, Adobe Illustrator 5.0, Adobe Premiere 4.0, Debabelizer
Pro, and SoundEdit 16. Performance Period: Final Delivery on or about
October 15, 1995. Only responses form responsible sources who are
prepared to demonstrate multi-media CD-ROMs they have produced will be
