R -- EXHIBIT FABRICATION & INSTALLATION, KAIBAB PLATEAU VISITOR CENTER NEAR JACOB LAKE, ARIZONA SOL IFB-00-95-B-25 DUE 031595 POC Contact Point, Vera Moreland, (202)690-4359 The United States Department of Agriculture's Forest Service intends to fabricate and install exhibits for a visitor center located near Jacob Lake, Arizona. The gross exhibit area is approximately 500 square feet in size. Components comprise of the fabrication and installation of the following: Exterior Bulletin Board; Interior Identification Panel, Relief Map, Discovery Corner, Eco-Island with graphic panels, and Wall Displays. Each exhibit station involves some of all the following skills: Cabinetry/Casework, Simulated Rock and Environment Making, Topo-Model Making, Fiber-Optic Work, Plexi-Case Work, Silk-Screening, Photo Printing, Artifact Mounting, Lighting, Electrical Detailing, and Output of Electronic Artwork for Graphic Production. All fabrication work must meet the Architectural Woodwork Quality Standards. Environmental Settings must be of museum quality. The schedule will allow 12 weeks in total from contract awarding to fabrication, inspection, completion to transportation and installation. This project will be conducted with other various contractors providing service to the visitor center. Arrangements must be made by contractor to coordinate activities with other installation activities. USDA Forest Service will provide contacts for arrangement and scheduling purposes. For information a fee of $25 is required for a single copy of the drawing specifications along with the solicitation package. Remittance should accompany the potential bidders request for solicitation. Make check, money order or draft payable to the U.S. Treasury.
