NEW POSTAL FACILITIES. Sol 072976-95-A-0013 due 031595. Contact point

Intent to preqaulify firms to design and construct new Postal Service
facilities located in the following areas: Beaverton, Oregon; Salem,
Oregon; Issaquah, Washington; Vacouver, Washington; Nampa, Idaho; and
Twin Falls, Idaho. U.S. Postal Service reserves the right to delete or
add projects of similar scope and cost range in the identified States.
Building sizes range from 21,000 square feet to 38,000 square feet.
Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria: (1.) have at
least five (5) years experience as a prime general contractor; (2.)
Completion of at least one (1) successful design/build project within
the last three (3) years of a similar scope and price range to those of
the projects listed, or provide documentation to demonstrate the
ability to do design/build projects; (3.) have professionals licensed
to practice architecture, landscape architecture, civil, structural,
mechanical and electrical engineering in the States of project
locations (these capabilities may be consultants to the prime general
contactor). The design team must have computer drafting capability with
Auto CAD Version 11.0 or higher; (4.) proof of previous working
relationship with the proposed Architect-Engineer firm, preferably as
a design/build team; (5.) have valid general contractor's licenses, or
demonstrate the ability to obtain such licenses, in the States where
projects are located; (6.) proof of financial stability and bonding
capacity; (7.) proof of prior performance. References and lists of
previous clients are required, not less than three (3); and (8.)
sufficient capacity (current workload in relation to company
resources). Other factors to be considered will be identified in the
Prequalification Package. Applications will be evaluated by a USPS
committee, and all firms will be advised within 60 days of receipt of
their application as to prequalification status. Firms selected as
being the best qualified will be placed on the prequalification list
for a period of one year. As projects are identified and approved for
implementation, the prequalified contractors will receive Request for
Proposals. All proposals received will be evaluated and the most
advantageous offers will be used as the basis for contract award. All
firms submitting offers will be notified in writing criteria stated
above, must obtain a Contractor Prequalification Application by written

USPS Contractor Prequalification Forms. Interested parties may also

Prequalification package must be returned to the above address by 3:00
p.m. March 15, 1995. This is not a Request for Proposal. Submittals
