following project is being considered for total Small Disadvantaged
Business Set-Aside. Interested concerns should as early as possible,
but not later than 15 calendar days after publication of this notice,
indicate interest in bidding as the prime contractor on the project.
Bidders must show that they are eligible as a small socially and
economically disadvantaged business concern. Contractor must furnish
evidence of bonding capability, evidence of capability to perform,
which includes references for similar work. Include contract numbers,
description and size of project, and points of contact (with telephone
numbers). The Contracting Officer will use this information to make a
decision to issue this solicitation as set-aside for Small
Disadvantaged Business (SDB) or as "UNRESTRICTED" without further
notice. Replies to this notice are requested from all interested
business concerns as well as from SDB concerns. The reply must indicate
the firm's size status such as large business, small business, or small
disadvantaged business. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC)
Code is 1542; the applicable small business size standard including
affiliates is no more than $17,000,000 average annual revenue for the
previous three years. Work will consist of alteration of an aircraft
maintenance hangar at the Lincoln Air National Guard Base, Lincoln
Municipal Airport, Lincoln, Nebraska. Project consists of Building
remodeling of two, two story lean-to structures on each side of the
hangar; asbestos abatement; installation of fire suppression system;
upgrade water piping, electrical, hydraulic, and sanitary drain
utilities; alteration of shops and administrative area; providing new
plastic media paint stripping booth; resurfacing floor of hangar bay;
Repairing exterior by replacing windows and pointing masonry as
required; upgrading supporting utilities; and other miscellaneous work
incidenta to the project. Although not guaranteed, construction is
estimated to start on or about July 1995, and be complete by February
1997. Estimated construction cost is between $5,000,000 and
