The principle features of work include, but are not limited to: (1) Install underground drainage pipe and construct structures where shown on plans; (2) Modify existing underground piping, valves, and structures where shown; (3) Remove and reinstall fence and additional site work where required to accomplish all work; (4) Remove floor drains and replace with sealed manhole ring and cover in Building 250. This is a firm fixed price contract. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The performance period will be 180 days. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but no later than 25 Feb 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. Even though this solicitation is being considered for an SDB set-aside, business concerns other than SDB are invited to bid. If after bid opening, SDB bids are determined to be more than 10 percent above the fair market price, this acquisition will be converted to unrestricted and all bids received from non-SDB firms will be considered.
