The work includes repair/upgrade the 26KV primary electrical distribution system along Mustin Road, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL. The job includes installing three (3) new SF6 switches and four (4) splice boxes for increased flexibility and reliability. Additionally, the contractor shall repair load break cable termination assemblies in nine (9) existing splice boxes to allow the necessary slack in the cable to permit easy movement. The contractor shall have at least five (5) years of experience performing installation of medium voltage (13KV and above) electrical distribution systems. Following tentative dates apply: Issue invitations 2/95, open bids 4/95, complete contract 10/95. Estimated cost is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. (038)
