ELBERT H. WILSON, (317)353-3748 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft
Division, Indianapolis, (NAWC-ADI) intends to negotiate a sole source
contract with CAMELOT SYSTEMS INC. of Haverhill, MA, for the purchase
of one (1) each Liquid Dispensing System, installation, operator and
maintenance training, and operations and maintenance manuals, all to be
delivered, installed, and training within 120 days following award of
contract. The Liquid Dispensing system shall include, but not be
limited to the following salient characteristics: Programmable to place
dispense locations within +/- .003 inch of True Position Radius of
programmed x,y locations. Capable of maintaining a programmed x, y
location repeatability of +/- .002 inches. LD adhesive dispenser with
z axis height resolution and repeatability at least +/- .002 inches and
a z axis travel of at least 4.5 inches. LD dispenser suitable for
dispensing adhesvies such as Loctite chip bonder adhesvies 348, 368,
3603, 3609, epoxies, such as Ablestik 84-3T, and Spot Mask and solder
paste. Dispenser head capable of dispensing 16,000 dots per hour. The
LD System shall be capable to sense a Printed Wiring Board (PWB) height
with a resolution and repeatability of +/- .0005 inches for each
dispense location, and able to make corrections to the z programmed
height. The LD System shall utilize standard EFD syringe sizes of
either 3,5,10, 0r 30 milliliters. The LD System shall be capable of
dispensing within 0.010 inches of a previous dispense location with out
disturbance. The LD System shall be capable of dispensing lines, dots,
arcs, circles, and perform an area fill routine. The speed of the LD
System on the x, y, and z axis shall be programmable. A digitally
controlled heated needle option, that heats the tip of the needle when
activated, from room temperature up to 50 degrees centigrade shall be
featured in the LD system.The LD System shall be able to step and
repeat operations for multiple images on PWB's. A Transport system on
the LD system shall be capable of handeling individual PWB's ranging in
sizes from 2 X 2 inches up to 18 X 18 inches. Both single and double
sided assemblies shall be able to be loaded onto the transport. The LD
System transport shall have a programmable transport width that
automatically opens to the programmed width. A LD system ''Teach Mode''
shall be capable of addressing : Needle Size, Dispense Location,
Dispense Pattern, Machine to board offset values (HOME), amount of
dispensing disposition, and type of dispense materials. The LD System
Vision system shall be capable of recognizing fiducials of various
sizes, shapes, using tooling holes of various sizes and various land
patterns as fiducials. The LS System shall be equiped with a Dot
Inspection system capable of measuring the accuracy of dispensed
materials and reporting inconsistencies to the operator. On-Line
daignostics testing for error conditions and signal displays are
required for the LD System. Program CAD data in ASCII format either via
ethernet or RS-232 port or through floppy drive is required. The LD
systems shall have a buit-in seperate 486 based computer with 3 1/2
inch 1.44 MB, and a 170 MB harddrive as a minimum, with a 14 inch super
VGA Monitor. Any responsible source may respond to this synopsis if
qualified to provide ALL items identified above as salient
characteristics, without deviation or substitutions. All responses must
