Sources are being sought to provide and install a minimum of two and a maximum of ten wind generators at Ascension Island South Atlantic for maximum output production of 1,000 kilowatts, with required electrical switchgear, controls and tower structures. Options may include a remote control and monitoring system, and up to an additional 1,000 kilowatts of wind generators. Output rating for each wind generator shall range from one hundred kilowatts to five hundred kilowatts. Wind generators shall have controls allowing their operation in parallel with an existing diesel-fueled prime power plant. Approximately one mile of overhead electrical distribution, with transformers and switchgear and an enclosure/control building shall also be provided. Interested contractors responding will be required to attend a mandatory site visit at a cost of approximately $1460.00 R/T per person. Maximum two persons per contractor. A nonrefundable fee of $25.00 will be charged for each solicitation package. All request for a solicitation package (when available) must be received in 45 CONS/PKAB prior to issuance of solcitation packages.
