intends to procure, on a full and open competition basis, the
production and testing of the Ships Advanced Radar Target
Identification System (SARTIS) R-2919/UPX-34(V) Radar Receiver in
accordance with MIL-STD-2036A and the resultant statement of work, as
well as Performance Specification No. 41223-1PS, for the
R-2919/UPX-34(V) Radar Receiver, dated 26 January 1995, and shall be
configured in accordance with Unisys drawing and part number 1218552.
The resultant contract will provide for one first article unit and 13
production units, as well as associated technical data. The contract
will also provide for three option quantities of 16, 12, and 4 Radar
Receivers, respectively. Further, the statement of work establishes
requirements for changes in the production, operation, data, and
support of the R-2919/UPX-34V Radar Receiver resulting from approved
engineering changes. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated.
Solicitation N00140-95-R-1650 will be issued approximately 30 March
1995 and close 30 days thereafter. Copies of the solicitation should be
requested within 15 days of this synopsis from the address in paragraph
