Notice of intent to place an order against GSA non-mandatory schedule contract #GS00K94AGS5002 with Data General of Irvine, CA, for replacement of the current database and user interface in the TIMS application. This task includes replacing the Accell (UNIFY-4GL) generated screens with the ORACLE FORMS and/or JAM 4GL screens. These screens will replace the functionality provided by the Accell screens. An analysis of the current Accell screens will be done to determine which screens can be combined and/or eliminated. In addition, the UNIFY database will be replaced with the ORACLE database. This process will include the database mappings necessary to provide a seemless transfer fron the UNIFY to ORACLE database. Also provided will be transfer routines to transfer information from the UNIFY tables to the ORACLE tables. Any other sources desiring consideration are required to provide the following information within 15 days of the date of publication of this synopsis: (1) GSA contract number, if applicable, (2) documentation/technical specifications, (3) Delivery schedule, and (4) Prices. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis of intent will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request of copy of the solicitation. If after analyzing responses to this notice, the Contracting Officer elects to place an order against the synopsized GSA schedule contract or a responding contractor's GSA schedule contract, written notification of the award will be provided to all parties responding in writing to this notice.
