Notice of intent to place an order against GSA non-mandatory schedule contract #GS00K94AGS5002 with Data General of Irvine, CA, for software enhancements to the TIMS application. This task will include modifying the TIMS application to include support for the CAIS. CAIS is the tri-service instrumentation system that is mandated for use on all new test programs. Modifications will include database changes required to support the new functionality that CAIS provides. Included will be support for the ASC, MDAU, WBRU and ADVAU. Support will include the ability to format, load and verify the instrumentation throught the ASC. THe CAIS support will include the same support for the ATIS and AATIS systems with the buil-in-test (BIT) capability added. The modifications for the TIMS software shall provide for the capability to support the CAIS and AATIS hardware on the same BUS. Any other sources desiring consideration are required to provide the following information within 15 days of the date of publication of this synopsis: (1) GSA contract number, if applicable, (2) documentation/technical specifications, (3) Delivery schedule, and (4) Prices. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis of intent will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request of copy of the solicitation. If after analyzing responses to this notice, the Contracting Officer elects to place an order against the synopsized GSA schedule contract or a responding contractor's GSA schedule contract, written notification of the award will be provided to all parties responding in writing to this notice.
