70 -- PURCHASE OF OPTICAL JUKEBOX POC Contact point, Linda Carswell, Contracting Officer, (703) 648-7390 The US Geological Survey (USGS), Reston, Virginia, anticipates placing a delivery order against GSA contract GS00K93AGS6452PS01 with Laserdata for the procurement of an optical jukebox system. This requirement is for the contractor to supply the following hardware and software: LaserData PN: 89-0832-000 Sony WDA-330 Autochanger with (a) Sony WDA 330 Mini-Autochanger 930-1 with 1 Drive; (b) 1 Controller and 12-Platter capacity; (c) Adaptec SCSI 2 Interface; (d) Media (1) Double Density; (e) LV912 Sony optical Disk Driver Software for DOS; (f) LV913B Sony WDA-903 Autochanger Driver for DOS; (g) SCSI 2 to Sony Autochanger Cable. LaserData PN: LV9200 Optical Storage for Netware Software for 78 GB 12'' Sony 330 Autochanger. Also included in the requirement are installation, configuration and integration into the existing document imaging system (Laserview 386 Document Server with two stand-alone Sony WDD600 optical drives). Vendors who believe that they can meet the requirement must submit a written response within 15 calendar days from the date this notice first appears. The response must include, but is not limited to, offered product's name, price list, warranties, references, and any additional technical documentation indicating a bona fide ability to meet this requirement. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this Synopsis of Intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this Synopsis of Intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. (0045)
