F -- GEOPHISICAL SITE INVESTIGATION SOL DACA31-95-R-0004 POC Mary Ann Mitchel (410) 962-5615, Contract Specialist or James K Hershey (410) 962-0174, Contracting Officer The contractor, as an independent contractor and not as an agent of the Government, shall furnish the necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, and materials to perform, and interpret geophysical site investigations on engineering and environmental project sites within the geographic boundaries of the Baltimore District which includes the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, New York, Virginia, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. Investigations will include the following geophysical methods and technologies: (1) Seismic (reflection, Refraction, Crosshole, and Tomography); (2) Gravity and Microgravity; (3) Magnetic; (4) Electrical (Self Potential,Resistivity, and Induced Polarization); (5) Electromagnetic (Time Domain and Frequency Domain); (6) Ground Penetrating Radar; (7) Borehole Logging (spontaneous Potential, Resistivity, Electrical,Natural Gamma, Gamma) Gamma, Neutron, Caliper, Temperature, Sonic,and Borehole Camera). Technical and cost proposals are required.The offeror's technical proposal will be evaluated for technical acceptability based on the following evaluation criteria: (A) Past experience and complexity of geophysical site investigation work; (B) Qualifications of resident personnel; (C) Inventory ofavailable geophysical equipment and its capabilities; (D)Satisfactory past performance on contracts with the Government and private sector in terms of meeting investigation objectives, cost control, meeting established schedules, and site safety record. The successful offerors will be required to have/obtain a DOD Industrial security facility and individual clearances at the Secret level. The Corps of Engineers anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price indefinite quantity type contract. Only written requests for proposal packages will be accepted. No faxes please.
