R - The Department of Education contemplates an award to an independent public accounting firm to: a. perform the annual audit of the Departments financial statements, and b. provide other professional accounting/auditing services, in support of ED/Office of Inspector General (OIG). The additonal services may be for technical assistance and training or economy and efficiency audits, program results audits, financial and compliance audits, indirect cost audits, or other types of audits; the contractor may be required to provide technical expertise, prepare audit plans and reports, and other work required by the OIG or provide audit services relating to all ED organizations, programs, activities and functions. The period of performance shall be for 3 years with 2 one year options, for a period of performance of 60 months, from the date of award. RFP-95-0202 shall be issued on or about March 15, 1995.
