The American Defense Preparedness Association/Defense Electronics for the Warfighter-Standardization and Interoperability in a Stringent Budget Environment; POC Bruce Holt (703) 247-2579. The Avionics Section of the ADPA will hold its annual conference on March 14-15, 1995 at the Raddison Mark Plaza Hotel, Arlington, VA. The conference will bring together senior level members of the Armed Services and others in the Department of Defense to discuss current and future plans for developing and implementing electronic systems for the warfighter. Major General Ralph Eberhart, USAF, Director, Force Structure, Resources and Assessment, Joint Staff will provide the keynote address. The Army, Navy, and Air Force perspectives on plans and requirements will be addressed by senior representatives of the respective organizations. Views from the OSD will also be given. Other speakers will provide insight into the JAST program, programs relating to the Digitization of the Battlefield, Advanced Avionics Architectures, Open Systems Opportunities and Nanotechnology. Since the conference is composed of invited papers only, the information provided will be of high value to the developers, technology planners and those following evolving programs. There will be opportunities to ask questions and meet with the speakers after each address. The meeting will be unclassified so as to reach as broad an audience as possible.
