Center Acquisition Contracting Team, AMQ-310/Attention Contracting
Officer, Carole Barton, P.O. Box 25082, 6500 S. MacArthur Blvd.,
Oklahoma City, OK 73125-4929 15 -- RETIRED WIDE-BODY AIRLINER FOR USE AS AIRCRAFT EVACUATION
SIMULATOR POC Carole Barton, (405) 954-7865 The Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) has a requirement for a retired wide-body airliner
(e.g., Boeing 747, Series 100-400), to be furnished, configured in
accordance with the Statement of Work, and installed on site at the
Civil Aeromedical Institute (CAMI), located at the Mike Monroney
Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Will Rogers World Airport (WRWA), Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma, for use as an evacuation experimental facility. The
aircraft is not required to be airworthy, and shall not be flown after
acceptance by the Government at FAA/MMAC. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Code is 3721. An aircraft of the type required is
only known to be available from AAR Oklahoma, Inc., 6611 S. Meridian
Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73159. AAR has facilities to configure
the aircraft as required and is located on the grounds of WRWA. Due to
the unique nature of this requirement, the size of the aircraft, and
the necessity for a facility in the proximity of the MMAC, the
acquisition does not allow for full and open competition. Other
concerns having the ability to furnish the above property/services are
requested to give written notification (including the name and
telephone number of a point of contact) to the procuring office listed
in this notice, with reference made to market survey file #65-5-24250,
within 45 calendar days from the date of this publication. Responses
should provide information regarding the ability of your concern to
satisfy the Government's requirement. All responses to this market
survey will be considered prior to further acquisition action by the
Government. Any information received as a result of this announcement
will not be provided to other contractors and will normally be
considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a
competitive procurement. The final determination by the Government not
to open this requirement to competition, based on any information
provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government. (0046) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0240 19950216\15-0006.SOL)
