The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) plans to issue a full and open competition solicitation for Electronic Spare Parts for four (4) Goebel postage stamp bookformer machines, Type #HM 1991; and one (1) Geobel postage stamp automatic coiler, Type #RM 1992. The bookformer machines convert large printed rolls of stamps and cover stock into stamp booklets. The process involves perforating, splitting, collating and folding of printed stamps and cover stock to produce the finished product. The automatic coiler converts large printed rolls of stamps into seperate coils of 100 stamps. The process involves perforating, splitting, and coiling ribbons of stamps to produce the finished product. The Government anticipates awarding a firm fixed-price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract with one (1) base year and four (4) option years. All interested parties are required to submit a writen request for a copy of this solicitation within thirty (30) calendar days of the date of this announcement. Written requests should include the company's size status, i.e., large, small, minority or women-owned. Telephone requests will not be honored.
