59 -- NIGHT VISION GOGGLES POC See Description. This is a market survey to identify those companies which have demonstrated the capability to manufacture AN/PVS-7B and AN/AVS-6(V) Night Vision Goggles which, at the minimum, meet the following performance parameters: Image tube resolution 64 lp/mm, signal-to-noise ratio 22.0, photocathode sensitivity 1800 microamps/lm, luminance gain 50K to 80K, MTF 92% @ 2.5 lp/mm, 80% @ 7.5 lp/mm, 61% @ 15 lp/mm, 40% @ 25 lp/mm, total number of black spots = 8, all smaller than .009 inch and none in Zone 1, Halo size 1.25 mm max. The Army is considering issue of an RFP for procurement of AN/PVS-7Bs and AN/AVS-6 NVGs approximately August 1995. The award will be made to the offeror(s) which offer the best value to the Government. Total requirements are estimated to be greater than 10,000 systems. This is not a request of proposals.
