Shirley Green, Purchasing Agent, 202-307-0992. It is the intent of the
Office of Justice Programs to place an order against a GSA
Non-Mandatory Federal Supply Schedule, Contract Number GS00K94AGS6335
with Isyx Lan Systems, 2401 Research Blvd., Suite 145, Rockville, MD
20850 for the following specific make and model; 1) ES Series File
Server (1 each) with the following specifications: Intel-based 100MHz
Pentium processor, and must be able to support up to six (6) Pentium
100MHz processors; 267 Megabytes/Second or faster Bus with a 64 Bit
data path; EISA bus with a minimum of 7 slots for open systems
architecture that interfaces the high speed bus; fully redundant power
supplies with temperature controlled fans, which in the case of
excessive heat will shut the system down, ''Hot Replaceable'' power
supplies; must be able to run a minimum of 4 main processing CPUs and
up to 6 processors; separate disk I/O controller with its own processor
and a minimum of 2 SCSI-2 fast and wide channels; must be able to
monitor all system functions, and notify a person either through paging
or over the network of the system condition, and provide for dial-in
diagnostic control; 64 MB of ECC 64 Bit RAM with expansion up to 1
Gigabyte; 33.60 Gigabyte disk space internal to the system as designed,
and must have the ability to expand to 1.2 Terrabyte within the system
design; provide ''Hot Replaceable'' disk drives; run out of the box
NetWare 3.x and 4.x, SCO UNIX, NT Advanced Server, DOS, and UNIXWare;
2) The Integrator Providing ES Series File Server must have the
following; Novell Platinum authorized; have at least two Novell CNE on
staff; have at least two TRICORD ES-CTE on staff; must have delivered,
installed, and supported at least 5 of this class of machine; provide
references; provide toll free ''hot line'' support up to 24 hours 7
days a week with both CNE CTE staff; provide field service personnel
that are both CNE and CTE; must be within 50 mile radius from Office of
Justice Programs; must completely install the server including
installing Novell Netware, NICs, drivers, software and anything else,
connect to OJP Network, tansfer data from the existing server, install
all software. Firms must be able to provide all the above listed items
and meet all specifications in order to be considered. Firms interested
in responding to this notice must submit clear and convincing
documentation as part of its response, including technical itemized
pricing data, that it can provide all the above listed items. Response
should sufficiently demonstrate the firm's ability to meet the
Government's requirements. The notice of intent to place an order
against a non-mandatory schedule contract shall not be considered a
solicitation document. All responses from responsible sources will be
fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis
of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation
will be issued. If a solicitation is issued, no additional sysnopsis
will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended
schedule vendor and all firms that responded to this synopsis of intent
or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. Responses are required
within fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this
