Contracting Officer. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is
releasing the revised DRAFT WARP system specification for industry
review and comment. The WARP is the FAA's planned future en route
weather processing and display system. The FAA intends to replace the
existing meteorologist weather processing system with the WARP at all
air route traffic control centers and the air traffic control system
command center.The FAA plans to procure WARP as a full and open
competition. The draft specification originally was released for
industry comment in January 1994. As a result of changes since then, a
revised specification is now being released for comment. The FAA plans
to have a draft request of proposal (RFP) available for industry
comment in April 1995. Comments are due by March 31, 1995. A request
for proposal is intended to be issued in the summer of 1995.Copies of
the DRAFT WARP system specifications may be requested in writing from
the FAA, 800 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20591, Attn:
Barbara Doherty, ASU-320. Include the complete mailing address, point
of contact, and phone number of the requested with all requests.

specification may also be requested via INTERNET; send to

warp spec''. Telephone requests will not be accepted. The
