Scope of work includes all necessary labor, material, transportation and equipment required to provide both electrical and mechanical work on the water tower located at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Dade County, Homestead, Florida, located approximately thirty miles south of Miami, Fl. The electrical portion includes but is not limited to the removal and replacement of metal conduit with wire, a panel board, a safety switch, a photo cell, a junction box, two duplex receptacles, four floodlights, two obstruction lights and a remotely controlled DC relay to turn the beacon on and off. The mechanical potion consists of removing a fixed steel ladder and to replace it with one that has a safety cage and safety bar; to add an eight foot diameter safety platform with safety handrails to the ladder. Contractor shall also provide a crane with a 150' boom and safety basket to lift base personnel for inspections during construction. The magnitude of this project is over $25,000, and peformance is 30 calendar days. Contractor must also provide documentation showing that he/she has at least three years experience in building ladders and safety cages for towers.
