Z -- ARCHITECTURAL MODIFICATIONS TO DORMITORY BUILDINGS Contact: J.E. Teahan, Contracts Administrator, 516/282-3140. This contract will be set aside for bidding by small businesses only. SIC code 1541 applies. Work consists of the removal of old windows and doors and the installation of new insulated doors and double-glazed, vinyl-clad windows. Insulation board will be installed on all exterior walls and covered with vinyl siding. Loose fiberglass insulation will be blown into attic spaces. All work will be awarded on a single contract. Estimated construction cost is $250,000 to $500,000. Estimated construction time is 30 weeks. Bid documents will be available on or about February 15, 1995. A 20% bid bond is required. Payment and performance bonds are required after contract award. Brookhaven is charging a non-refundable fee of $25 for bid documents. Personal checks made out to "Brookhaven National Laboratory" are acceptable. Checks may be sent immediately and bid packages will be mailed upon availability.
