35 -- DIGITAL-TO-PLATE IMAGING SYSTEM POC Contracting Officer, Jean Appel, 301-227-2295, Contract Specialist, Tom Anslow, 301-227-2295 This presolicitation notice is published to identify interested sources to supply and install a complete Digital-to-Plate imaging system utilizing commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment. This system will be installed in the St. Lois, MO area. The Digital-to-Plate System shall include the hardware, software, and firmware required to produce printing plates from digital files that represent map or chart feature separates or color separates. The complete system may include mass storage device(s), edit workstations, servers, color proofer, laser printer, tape drive input, image setter, a plate processor, and support equipment and services. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately issue a solicitation or a contract. It is requested that interested parties submit a written request to receive a draft copy of the effort. All requests shall be submitted within fifteen days after the publication of this announcement.
