D -- DISANET SUPPORT SOL DCA100-95-R-0034 DUE 050195 POC Contact: Contract Specialist Rhonda LaGarde, 703-692-3706; Contracting Officer Joyce Milner, 703-692-2782 The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to issue an 8(a) competitive solicitation to obtain support for network operations, network implementation, design and network Help Desk. The network to be supported (DISANet) is a Windows NT based network running at 20 sites in the Washington, D.C. area and is interconnected via a T1 Wide Area Network. In addition, sites at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey; Ft. Huachuca, Arizona; and Ft. Ritchie, Maryland are also connected to this network. The network currently supports over 5,000 workstations. Contractors must possess expert knowledge on all of the following: LAN Manager, Windows 3.1, Windows NT, Advance Server, cc:Mail for Windows, Lotus Notes, Word Perfect for Windows, Freelance for Windows, Lotus Organizer, Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows, Project WorkBench for Windows, perForm, Paradox for Windows, 3-COM bridging equipment, HP Open View, Cabletron hub equipment, HP Network Advisor, HP LAN hubs, network General sniffer, X400 products and SMTP products. It is estimated that the contractor will need to supply approximately 28 Network Administrators; 10 Network Engineers; 12 Help Desk/Application Experts; 5 Systems Analysts; 2 Data Communication Specialists; 5 Network Training Specialists; and 5 Technical Writers. A SECRET clearance is required as a minimum. It is anticipated that an ID/IQ time and material contract will be awarded for a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The minimum guarantee is $1.5 million; maximum ceiling is $75 million for acquisition requirements as well as service support. Acquisition requirements are estimated at $5 million per year. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code applicable to this effort is 7379, Computer Related Services, Not Elsewhere Classified, with a size standard of $18 million. Delegation of Procurement Authority reference number is KAA-95-0032. RFP DCA100-95-R-0034 will be issued not sooner than 15 calendar days after this CBD publication notice. Proposals will be due 45 calendar days after RFP release date. Therefore, receipt of proposals will be due on or about late April/early May 1995. No reading room has been established. All technical information required to respond to the RFP will be included in the statement of work.
