The Dahlgren Division Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia has a requirement for maintenance of commercial computer equipment under the cognizance of the AEGIS Computer Center and the AEGIS Training Center. The majority of the equipment are Digital Equipment Corporation products, but third party peripherals, associated network components (majority are Cabletron), and SUN and Hewlett Packard servers and workstations shall also be included. All equipment is located at the Dahlgren, Virginia location. Preventive and remedial maintenance on the hardware is required. The Principle Period of Maintenance for the equipment is 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The Government shall have the option to extend the PPM up to 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, including all holidays. Currently a portion of the equipment is maintained 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, including holidays. Required response time is 4 hours. A security clearance of at least SECRET is required. The proposed contract will be for a base period of one year and contain four option years. Solicitation N00178-95-R-4044 will be issued on or about 1 March 1995. The solicitation will close 30 days after issuance.
