Carter, 907/753-2551 Description of work to be performed: Perform maintenance dredging and disposal of approximately 280,000 cubic yards of material from the Port of Anchorage, Alaska. Project depth is -36.0 feet MLLW; its length is approximately 5,000 feet, parallel to the face of the Port dock. The maximum pay depth is -37.0 feet MLLW. The material to be dredged is generally a dense silt, shoaled and compacted. The disposal area is in Cook Inlet, at least 3,000 feet from, and parallel to the face of the dock. The Contractor is to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision and all other items necessary to accomplish the work. The work period will be from 2 July through 9 September 1995. The sediment continues to shoal during the summer. Project depth is to be maintained through the end of the work period.
