58 -- SECURE DIGITAL TRUNKED LAND MOBILE RADIO SYSTEMS SOL DAAB07-N/A POC John Strange, Electrical Engineer, AMSEL-RD-ST-CE-S, 908/544-2873. The Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG) has requested the U.S. Army CECOM to conduct a Market Survey to determine price and availability of manufacturers who can furnish, install, and make operational secure digital Trunked Land Mobile Radio Systems in four regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with installation commencing within six months of contract award and concluding fifteen months after a go-ahead. The four systems would provide secure Trunked Land Mobile Radio communications services plus over-the air-rekeying (OTAR), utilizing existing communications sites and towers, for the cities of Riyadh (5 sites), Medina (2 sites), and the Jedda, Mecca, Taif corridor (7 sites) in the western region and the Damman, Dhahran, Al Hasa corridor (6 sites) in the eastern region with an option to install alternate microwave links where needed. User equipment includes secure handheld and vehicle mounted radios, portable and mobile repeaters, suitcase satellite radios, control consoles, secure facsimile machines and telephones, and covert radio systems. Services such as training and repair support would also be provided by the manufacturer. Information in response to this survey should include technical specifications of sufficient detail to allow SANG to make informed decisions, as well as Technical Representative name and telephone number. Respondents are advised that it is their responsibility to appropriately mark or legend proprietary, trade secret, or competition sensitive material submitted to the Government incident to this Market Survey. Respondents are cautioned not to submit any classifed material. This advertisement does not constitute a request for proposal; but is solely for the purpose of obtaining price and technical information for use by the SANG. This request for price and technical information should not be construed as full and complete certified cost and pricing data that will be required upon release of a solicitation. Should SANG make a selection decision on the basis of the information submitted, it is anticipated that an implementing FMS agreement U.S. Army contract will be developed and negotiated.
