S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL), Electronics and Power Sources Directorate intends to issue a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) via Commerce Business Daily (CBD). The research topics to be addressed are ''High Rate Carbon Monoflouride Batteries'' and ''Low Cost Rechargeable Alkaline Manganese Batteries.'' This BAA will be issued under the provisions of FAR 6.102(d)(2) which provides for competitive selection of basic research proposals. The BAA is an expression of interest only and not a commitment on the part of the Government to make any award or to pay for any response preparation costs. There will be no formal request for proposal or any solicitation document issued, therefore, interested parties should be alert for the BAA and any amendments thereto issued in the CBD on or about 15 March 1995.
