R -- R--SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE INTEGRATED FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (FMS) SOL EMV-95-R-0356 DUE 041195 POC Mrs. SANDI NIXON, CONTRACT SPECIALIST, 703/542-2303 The Government intends to award a contract to Advanced Integrated Technology (AIT), a Small Business concern, for software maintenance and support services for the Facilities Management System (FMS) located at FEMA, Mount Weather Emergency Assistance Center (MWEAC), Berryville, VA. During Sep 90, AIT was tasked to develop and install an integrated FMS at FEMA's MWEAC under Requirements Contract No. EMV-89-C-0139. The modular design system was generated in COBOL utilizing DEC's Record Management Services file. The Contractor was required to utilize custom software applications (designed in modules) to incorporate the functional requirements of the various elements (i.e., executive, managerial, and administrative members) included in the FMS. The software module development entailed functional validation/system design review, in-progress development reviews, database development, transition to automated system, user training, and specific user documentation applicable to each activity included in the FMS. The FMS became operational in Oct 93, however, the FMS is still in its infant stage and requires continuing support as changes, modifications and enhancements necessary to achieve system success are identified by system users. The Contractor shall also be required to provide trouble call assistance to system users through coordination with the FEMA System Administrator and shall be required to provide trouble call assistance during and outside normal working hours.
