This project consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to construct an 8,000 square foot maintenance building including vehicle maintenance areas, employee areas, and carpentry shop at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Munising, Michigan. The structure is for the most part, a 1-story building with concrete masonry foundation, walls and partitions with an exterior finish of cedar siding over furring, and a wood truss roof framing system covered with a plywood deck, finished with asphalt shingles. The employee area is constructed of two story high concrete masonry walls. Also included is all mechanical, plumbing and electrical work; a bridge crane and steel support frame; and two twin post hydraulic hoists. Other principal features of this requirement are: Construction of a new access road including the finished grading of the subgrade, placing and grading the gravel base and placing 3'' of asphalt paving; the construction of concrete sidewalk and handicap ramp; site work including rough and finished grading, lacing top soil and seeding.
