Los Alamos National Laboratory operated by the University of California is planning a replacement SCADA system to meet the water distribution needs of the communities of Los Alamos and White Rock and LANL's technical areas. The system implementation will also include the LANL Equipment Surveillance System (ESS) to monitor the status of various types of equipment in the Department of Energy (DOE) owned buildings at LANL. Because of the specialized technical nature of the proposed system, LANL is seeking a single qualified SCADA system supplier who will be responsible for manufacturing, assembly, shipping, installation, start-up, and testing of the SCADA system and associated hardware. The University intends to use a negotiated procurement process by which SCADA suppliers will be evaluated based upon: company resources and experience, technical offering, technical approach, cost proposal, and format.
