The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue Solicitation N00024-95-R-5625 to Raytheon Company, Equipment Division, 430 Boston Post Road, Wayland, MA 01778-1892 for an estimated five (5) Medium Pulse Repetition Frequency Upgrade (MPU) Kits, two (2) AN/SPS-49A(V)1 Test Fixtures, MPU spares, MPU and AN/SPS-49A(V)1 Test Fixture integration, technical manual revisions, provisioning technical documentation and data. This requirement also includes an option for an estimated four (4) MPU Kits, MPU spares, MPU integration and data. Raytheon Company, Equipment Division, is the original equipment manufacturer and sole producer of the AN/SPS-49(V) Radar and MPU Kits. It is the only company which possesses the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment necessary to perform the tasks described. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
