sea chest regulating system 6) Renew watertight doors 7) Renew radar
pedestal 8) VHF-FM ADF Antenna replacement 9) Clean shipboard
ventilation systems 10) Clean galley, scullery and laundry ventilation
systems 11) Renew crew's head ventilation ducting 12) Modify potable
water system 13) Renew high pressure start air compressors 14) Overhaul
anchors and anchor chains 15) Replace marinite panels with nomex
honeycomb panels 16) Preserve the main deck and 01 deck 17) Preserve

windlass motor. Vessels homepier is Cheyboygan, MI. Vessel length is
290'. Vessel is geographically restricted to the Great Lakes. The
repairs may be performed at either the vessels homepier or at the
contractors facility in accordance with the terms and provisions of the
specification. Vessel availability schedule is on or about 30 May 1995.
There will be a non-refundable charge of $100 in the form of certified
check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for
requested drawings and publications. Orders must be placed within ten
(10) days of solicitation issuance. The proposed contract listed here
is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short
term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending
Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to
provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance
Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds
up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the
bond amount to a surety against losses. For further information and
