Service will consist of consults to include review of the chart, physical exam, and recommendation for treatment. Radiation therapy series to include treatment planning, isodose setting, central axis depth dose, simulator setting, physics, and other items as necessary for a commmplete treatment series. A capitated rate for each treatment series is required. Radiation therapy services must be directed by Board Certified radiation oncologist, and the contractor's facility must meet all State and Federal standards, have a current license to perform radiation therapy services, and have current accreditation fro the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals and/or the American College of Radiology. This is a requirements contract with no guaranteed minimum quantity. This VA Medical Center, in Temple, TX, intends to award one or more contracts for radiation therapy services in the Austin, Texas area. Contractor's facility must be within 10-mile radius of Austin metropolitan area. The Austin Satellite Outpatient Clinic, located in Austin, will be the principal referral source of patients to receive the services. Copies of the solicitation must be requested in writing and reference Sol. 674-5-95. Copies will be furnished to bona fide bidders who meet bidder qualifications. The VA may award one, multiple, or no contracts as it deems in the best interest of the Government. The solicitation shall be issued 15 days from publication of this notice, and bids shall be received 30 days later. (0052)
