Work includes, but is not limited to, the following repairs and additions to Castle Street, Doolittle Avenue, and Foulois Avenue at Fairchild AFB, WA: Provide leveling course, tack coat, paving fabric and asphalt concrete overlay (approximately 24,000 SY of street surface), provide pavement markings (approximately 8,550 LF of street), provide new curbs and gutters (approximately 16,730 LF), provide new concrete sidewalks (approximately 19,000 SF), provide new drainage structures (46 catch basins), restore landscaping to pre-construction condition in areas disturbed by construction, and adjust manhole covers, valve boxes, etc., to new asphalt level. The estimated value of the work is between $1 million and $5 million. The contract performance period shall be 180 calendar days. Government furnished materials shall not be included. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1611. The solicitation is schedule for issuance on or about 15 March 1995. This procurement is being considered for 100% Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. Interested SDB concerns should contact the Fairchild Contracting Office as soon as possible, but no later than 10 March 1995. Interested parties must include a positive statement of eligibility as an SDB concern, evidence of capacity to obtain bonds for a project of this magnitude, and information that demonstrates a capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
