Synopsis published on 02/08/95 is modified to read as follows: NUWC
intends to solicit under Full & Open Competition for Multiport Switches
with the following minimum requirements: 1) One (1) ea. Master
Enclosure (with solid state and analog switches) with three (3) 1x2
Modules. The master controller will provide a physical and electronic
connection to a remote device and slave control units. The Master
Control module controls up to forty-eight (48) switches, any
combination of analog and solid state type switches, that can be
configured in sixteen (16) enclosures; 1 Master Controller and 15 Slave
controllers. The Master enclosure will house up to 3 1x2 Modules,
either solid state, analog or a combination of solid state and analog
type switch modules and associated common module. The Master Controller
must function in two modes, manual and remote. The 1x2 modules must be
solid state 2-pole, 2-throw, center position Off type switches,
controlling up to one hundred and forty- four (144) lines of data with
two (2) cable shields to either an A- Position, B-Position, or
disabled, preventing signal through-put. The 1x2 modules are resident
in either a Master Controller or Slave Controller. 2) One (1) ea. Slave
Enclosure ( with full solid state and analog switches) with three (3)
1x2 Modules. The slave controller will provide a physical and
electronic connection to the Master Controller. The slave control
module will control up to three (3) 1x2 modules, either solid state,
analog or a combination of solid state and analog type switch modules.
The slave controller will send status to the master controller. The
1x2 modules must be solid state 2-pole, 2-throw, center position Off
type switches controlling up to one hundred and forty-four (144) lines
of data with 2 cable shields to either an A-position, B- position, or
disabled, preventing signal through-put. The 1x2 modules are resident
in the slave controller. 3) One (1) ea. Slave Enclosure (with analogue
switches) with three (3) 1x2 modules. The slave controller will provide
a physical and electronic connection to the master controller. The
slave control module will control up to three (3) 1x2 modules, either
solid state, analog or a combination of solid state and analog type
switch modules. The slave controller will send status to the master
controller. The 1x2 modules must be analog/power 1-pole, 2-throw,
center position Off type switches, controlling up to eighty (80) lines
of data to either an A-position, B-position or disabled preventing
signal through-put. The 1x2 module is resident in the slave controller.
4) One (1) ea. Master Enclosure (with analogue switches) with three (3)
1x2 modules. The master controller will provide a physical and
electronic connection to a remote device and slave control units. the
master control module controls up to forty-eight (48) switches, any
combination of analog and solid state type switches that can be
configured in sixteen (16) enclosures; 1 Master controller and fifteen
(15) slave controllers. The master enclosure will house up to three
(3) 1x2 modules, either solid state, analog or a combination of solid
state and analog type switch modules and associated common module. The
master controller functions in two modes, manual and remote. The 1x2
modules must be a combination of a solid state 2-pole, 2-throw, center
position Off type switch, controlling up to one hundred and forty-four
(144) lines of data with two (2) cable shields to either an A-position,
B-position, or disabled, preventing signal through-put; and an
Analog/Power 1- pole, 2-throw, center position Off type switch,
controlling up to eighty (80) lines of data to either an A-position,
B-position or disabled, preventing signal through-put. The 1x2 modules
are resident in either a master controller or slave controller. 5) One
(1) ea. Slave Enclosure (with solid state and analog switches) with
three (3) 1x2 modules. The slave controller will provide a physical and
electronic connection to the master controller. The slave control
module will control up to three (3) modules, either solid state,
analog, or a combination of solid state and analog type switch modules.
The slave controller will send status to the master controller. The 1x2
modules, must be a combination of a solid state 2-pole, 2-throw, center
position Off type switch, controlling up to one hundred and forty-four
(144) lines of data with two (2) cable shields to either an
A-position, B-position, or disabled, preventing signal through-put; and
an Analog/Power 1- pole, 2-throw, center position Off type switch,
controlling up to eighty (80) lines of data to either an A-position,
B-position or disabled, preventing signal through-put. The 1x2 modules
are resident in either a master controller or slave controller. In
addition to the above, items one (1) through (5) must meet the
following specifications: MIL-C-C38999, MIL-C-81511, MIL-C-28840,
MIL-STD-1376A (NAVY); DoD-STD-1399 and DoD-STD-1686. Each switch shall
connect the Input/Output parallel data cable of a MIL-STD- 1397 device
to a minimum of four MIL-STD-1397 devices simultaneously. A Firm Fixed
Price contract is anticipated. Delivery will be staggered starting 95
SEP 1 and ending 95 DEC 31. (0053) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0222 19950223\59-0001.SOL)
