66 -- LAB NETWORK CONTRACT SOL 549-37-95 DUE 033195 POC Contact Point, Joseph Mulstay, (214)302-7520 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dallas, Texas has joined a network of local laboratories at Zale Lipshy University Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, Childrens Medical Center, and Aston Pathology Laboratory. The laboratories in each of these facilities are integrated electronically with Mayo Reference Labs. To permit electronic integration of VA with the rest of the network, VA will be negotiating a sole source contract with Mayo Reference Labs. This solicitation will require Mayo to furnish all needed electronic hardware and software necessary for electronic interface with the laboratory network and with Mayo Reference Labs, and some tests that cannot be performed by any of the network laboratories.
