The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, has a sole source requirement for Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI), 2011 N. Shoreline Boulevard, Mt. View, CA 94039-7311. The requirement is for two SGI workstations and a number of peripherals constituting a complete system for algorithm development, visualization, and rapid prototyping. The specific make and model items are required for binary compatibility with existing software and specialized advanced graphics software developed for Navy specific purposes in the SGI environment. This system will consist of: (1) SGI Model #WB-TWOTFPEX2 Power Indigo2, R8000, Extreme Graphics Work Station with 64 MB RAM, 2 Gigabyte (GB) System Disk, 1280x1024 Resolution 20'' Monitor including, at stated maximum and minimum performance levels, one (1) each of the following: Internal 5.1 GB (4.1 GB Formatted) 8.5 millisecond (ms) access time, 3.5 Half Height (HH) disk drive for SGI Indigo2 with sled, SGI Model #P9-CDR-4 Internal Quad Speed CD-ROM SCSI Drive; SGI Model #SC4-PRODEV6-2.4 Pro Development option; SGI Model #SC4-C++-6.0.1 MIPSPRO C++, SGI Model #SC4-NFS-6.0.1 Network File System Software; SGI Model #SC4-IMPS-1.2 Impressario server, SGI Model #SC4-IMPD-1.2 Impressario Developer's Kit, SGI Model #SC4-INVENTOR-2.0.1 Open Inventor 3D Toolkit; SGI Model #MO5-CD MO5CD CD-ROM Update Media; SGI Model #CS-SWCARE-DEV-W/IDO, Framemaker 4 Personal License for Silicon Graphics Workstations on CD-ROM media, documentation, and one year of updates; and an Internal 2.5 GB (2.1 GB formatted) 8.5 ms access low profile 3.5'' HH disk drive for SGI Indy, (2) SGI Model #W24C-1G32 INDY workstation with 150MHz R4400SC processor, 64 MB RAM, 1 GB System Disk, and INDY cam. The workstation shall include, at stated maximum and minimum performance levels, one (1) each of the following unless otherwise indicated: SGI Model #P-CDR-4A External Quad CD-ROM SCSI Drive; SGI Model #D-M20 1280x1024 20'' monitor upgrade; SGI Model #HU-INDYX2 24 bit XZ Graphics upgrade, two (2) each; SGI Model #SCC4-PDVLIT-2.4 Pro Development (Workshop & IDO) for IRIX 5.3; SGI Model #SC4-C++-4.0 C++ Development Option, SGI Model #SC4-NFS-5.3 Network File System Software; SGI Model #SC4-IMPS-1.2 Impressario server; SGI Model #SC4-FTN-4.0.2 FORTRAN-77; SGI Model #SC4-INVENTOR-2.0.1 Open Inventor 3D Toolkit; SGI Model #MO5-CD CD-ROM update media; FrameMaker 4.0 Fixed license for SGI on CD-ROM media, no documentation, and one year of updates; SGI Model #CS-SWCARE-DEV-W/IDO; and an External 2.0 GB 4mm SCSI, 3.5'' HH, tape drive with cables. (3) Four (4) bay SCSI Enclosure for four, 5.25'' full height (FH) devices including all cables, two (2) each, and 10.8 GB (9.0 GB formatted), 11.5 millisecond, 5.25 FH disk drive, installed, six (6) each. (4) SGI Model #HU-TWOTFP system board upgrade from R4400 150/75MHz to R8000 for an existing SGI Indigo2 workstation, one (1) each. (5) SoftImage 3D Extreme FX package and scheduled updates, a 12x18 Wacom Tablet for the SGI Indigo2, and Adobe Photoshop for SGI, one (1) each. (6) CD-Studio for SGI workstations with Kodak PCD225 Writer complete with drivers, and software updates for one (1) year, one (1) each; CD-ROM media, and Writable CD-ROM Media (Pack of 25) for the PCD 200+. Delivery shall be FOB destination and installation shall be included. Installation shall occur within one week of delivery notification at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. Delivery shall take place within four weeks. All components shall be installed as a single system. The government shall seek credits for items replaced with upgrades and not delivered with the system. The system shall be warranted with a six month full extended software and hardware warranty.
