to accomplish: Remove expansion joints between boiler and breeching on
boilers #1, #2 and #4. Remove joint material from flanges of expansion
joints removed from the above and dispose of material. This joint
material is probable asbestos containing material. Install new
expansion joints between boiler and breeching on boilers #1, #2 and #4,
with new non-asbestos gasket material. Remove entire stack, flashing
and expansion joint from induced draft fan upward on boilers #2 and #4.
Remove and replace bolted flange on induced draft fan on boiler #2.
Remove joint material from flanges of expansion joint removed from the
above and dispose of material. This joint material is probable
asbestos containing material. Install new expansion joints between
induced draft fan and stack on boilers #2 and #4 with new non-asbestos
gasket material. Remove and replace entire stack on boilers #2 and #4
with new stacks and dispose of material and also replace roof
flashings when replacing stacks for boilers #2 and #4. Install new rain
stacks on boilers #2 and #4. Restore stack insulation and vapor barrier
where disturbed by this work to match existing. Rain stacks and other
accessories required for a complete installation shall be provided to
complete the job. Any other work necessary to make a complete and
usable facility. Contract period: 1 June 1995 through 30 September
1995. Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The
proposed procurement listed here is being considered for 100 percent
set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) or small business (SB)
concerns. Interested SDB and SB concerns should, as early as possible
but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the
acquisition by providing to the contracting office above, evidence of
capability to perform and if an SDB, provide a positive statement of
eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business
concern. If adequate interest is not received from SDB or SB concerns,
the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further
notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all
business concerns as well as from SDB and SB concerns. Small
disadvantaged business concern means a small business concern that is
at least 51 percent unconditionally owned by one or more individuals
who are both socially and economically disadvantaged, or a publicly
owned business that has at least 51 percent of its stock
unconditionally owned by one or more socially and economically
disadvantaged individuals and that has its management and daily
business controlled by one or more such individuals. This term also
means a small business concern that is at least 51 percent
unconditionally owned by an economically disadvantaged Indian tribe or
Native Hawaiian Organization, or publicly owned business that has at
least 51 percent of its stock unconditionally owned by one of these
entities, that has its management and daily business controlled by
members of an economically disadvantaged Indian tribe or Native
Hawaiian Organization, and that meets the requirements of 13 CFR 124.
Socially disadvantaged means individuals who have been subjected to
racial or ethnic prejudice or cultural bias because of their identity
as a member of a group without regard to their qualities as
individuals. Economically disadvantaged means socially disadvantaged
individuals whose ability to compete in the free enterprise system is
impaired due to diminished opportunities to obtain capital and credit
as compared to others in the same line of business who are not socially
disadvantaged. Concern means any business entity organized for profit
with a place of business located in the United States, including, but
not limited to an individual, partnership, corporation, joint venture,
association, or cooperative. The size standard is any concern
including its affiliates with an average annual sales or receipts for
