Z -- POWER PLANT UPGRADE, EASTERN REGIONAL RESEARCH CENTER, WYNDMOOR, PENNSYLVANIA SOL 1367-3K15-95 DUE 041495 POC Contact Point, Jeannette Davies, 301-344-0252 Project involves partial renovation and replacement of some equipment at the Power Plant of the USDA, ARS, Eastern Regional Research Center located at 600 Mermaid Lane in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania. Work includes new Power Plant building addition, installation of a new 500-ton centrifugal chiller; replacement of chilled water ''primary'' pumping system with a ''primary-secondary'' pumping system; replacement of existing cooling tower and associated chiller condenser water pumps; replacement of one of the existing boilers with a new boiler (low NOX burners). Work also includes replacement and addition of new adjunct piping, pumps, valves, electrical, controls and those components and systems required for a fully functional system. Options include: replacement of existing house air compressor with a triplex air compression system; relocate the existing Pilot Plant house vacuum system to the Power Plant, and removal of an existing exhaust stack. The estimated price range is between $1 million and $5 million. Completion time is 12 months. A Prebid Conference is scheduled for March 29, 1995, at 10 a.m., at the site.
