907/384-7105. The Government has a requirement to purchase sixteen (16)
Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Custom 4500, with a Quick
Fill Option, manufactured by Mine Safety Appliances (MSA) for delivery
to the Fort Greely, Alaska Fire Department. The required equipment
must be compatible with the MSA equipment previously purchased for the
Fort Richardson and Fort Wainwright, Alaska Fire Departments. The
following MSA components are also required: Facepieces, Ultravue, Black
Hycar, Medium, P/N 801450, 12 Each; Small, P/N 801450, 4 Each, Large,
P/N 801452, 4 Each; Ultravue Pressure-Demand Facepiece and Breathing
Tube Assemblies, P/N 801156, PBI Neck Strap, 8 Each; P/N 801165,
Breathing Tube Assembly, 8 Each; Nosecups, Medium, P/N 471711, 12 Each;
Small, P/N 471710, 2 Each; Large, P/N 471712, 2 Each; 60-Minute
Wall-Mounted Case for MSA Air Masks (Custom 4500 II), 16 Each;
Breathing Tube Quick-Disconnect Assembly, P/N 458734, 12 Each;
Emergency Escape Breathing Hose Package, P/N 485366, 16 Each; Air
Cylinder, Composite, 60-Minute Rated, Fully Wound, P/N 801285, 16 Each;
and VARI-Clear System, P/N 496917, 6 Each. The Government intends to
negotiate this requirement Sole-Source with Young's Firehouse,
Anchorage, Alaska, the manufacturer's restricted dealer for Alaska.
This notice of intent is not a request for Competitive Proposals;
however, all offers submitted within forty-five (45) days after the
publication date of this notice will be considered by the Government.
