Scrubber for Caustic Solutions (Item two). The Item one fume scrubber
assembly fur- nished shall be a composite mesh pad, water-wash type
consisting of, but is not limited to, the following: a factory
assembled, skid-mounted unit consisting of a fume scrubber enclosure
with mesh pads and internal and external piping, inlet and outlet duct
transitions, integral reservoir or external circulation tank, water
circulation pump, exhaust fan, fifty foot exhaust stack, complete pH
electrical control center, and control system(s) in accordance with the
government specifications. Scrubber assembly shall be designed and used
to remove acid (primarily chromic and phosphoric) emissions from the
exhaust air stream. The scrubber assembly designed and sized to clean
and exhaust 43,000 standard cubic feet per minute of air against an
external static pressure of 3.50 inches water gage plus the internal
pressure drop through the scrubber assembly and exhaust stack. Because
of the mixed air stream, recovery of chro- mium for reuse is not a
requirement. The Item two fume scrubber assembly fur- nished shall be
a water-wash type consisting of, but is not limited to, the following:
a factory assembled, skid-mounted unit consisting of a fume washer,
inlet and outlet duct transitions, all integral piping, integral
reservoir or external circulation tank, water circulation pump, exhaust
fan, fifty foot exhaust stack, complete pH electrical control center,
and control systes(s) in accordance with the government specifications.
Scrubber assembly shall be designed and used to remove caustic
(primarily sodium hydroxide) emissions from the exhaust air stream. The
scrubber assembly designed and sized to clean and exhaust 72,300
standard cubic feet per minute of air against an external static
pressure of 4.75 inches water gage plus the internal pressure drop
through the scrubber assembly and exhaust stack. On both items, the
contractor shall be responsible for the design, fabrication, shipment,
installation, and all tools, equipment, materials and services
required to meet or exceed all functional and performance requirements
of the government specifications. The scrubbers shall be furnished
complete and ready for use when connected to Red River Army Depot
utilities. Delivery will be F.O.B. Red River Army Depot, Texarkana,
Texas. No telephone requests; only written or faxed requests received
directly from the requestor and furnishing their business size will be
acceptable (facsimile number 903-334-4141 or 2265). Solicitation will
issue approximately 8 Mar 95; a firm fixed-price contract is
